NEWS: lost in The Murder Game

bbc broadcast commissioned lost in space to create the graphic ident for the trailer of the new bbc one series The Murder Game.

Joe Lee the director wanted an iconic solution based around a thumbprint and question mark that would brand the show and the promotional trailers and other material for it.

lost in space designer leo marcantonio created a chilling sequence that is a hybrid of "silence of the lambs" with the best of bbc light entertainment! a real challenge! several approaches where taken over a 4 day period until the final solution was approved just in time for broadcast.

leo marcantonio produced the graphics in adobe after effects making extensive use of the 3d layers and motion blur in the new version 5.5.

the trailer went on air on the 15th march and the show will premier saturday the 29th of march on bbc one.
