lost in japan

lost in space recently completed two outstanding jobs for clients in japan.

MTFG PLAZA installation video

Last year, three formerly separate branches of the Mitsubishi Bank of Tokyo have merged into one bank, now called MTFG Plaza. This merging process and the result is virtually depicted in this 2.5 min treatment, incorporating zeitguised's infamous "3D boolean camera" style.
Each of the new banks' area of service is introduced, symbolized by evident objects and their motion. The elaborate shapes that are revealed by the intersections are particularly exciting in the original resolution of 1366x755, running on HDTV Plasma screens in the newly designed MTFG Plaza branch offices in Tokyo. The minimal vector style visuals of the film play to the sleek new architecture and interiors of these offices.
onedotzero creative consultancy on behalf of Dentsu Inc Japan commissioned lost in space to create this experimental work. Thanks to the open mindedness of the clients, this is a piece that lost none of its avant-garde charm to the corporate message.

ZENIGATA KINTARO Opener and Station IDs

tv asahi, one of Japans biggest TV stations, and lost in space were introduced by lost in space's producer in tokyo "Office Miki". the brief was the relaunch of the famous variety show "Zenigata Kintaro", in which three comedians take over the home of a self-acclaimed "poor person" and give tips for a better lifestyle with little money. This is considered to be extremely funny by the japanese audience.
The project was new ground for zeitguised, as it incorporated stop-motion real footage, composited with cg mockups of real environments, cardboard models and illustration. The show is wild, and the trailer shows its craziness with bewildering style. It runs 12 seconds long without logo, each of the 30 frames per second is a different image, and also a different pose. Which meant also a different pose by Henrik of zeitguised, who had to stand in as a "confused poor crazyman" and probably will become a star in Japan anytime now.
