NOIR street art exhibtion BKK

lost in space bkk launches a fresh collection of thai artists with an exhibition called "Noir " exploring the dark-side of thai street and contemporary art.
Four emerging thai painters, designers and graffiti artists show their work with a mix of marker, painting, and sticker installations at Pla dib gallery bangkok.
On the opening night the artists are joined by the renown thai street artist P7 with live graffiti performances and visuals by lost in space artist christian hogue.
The exhibition artists AUD, TP07, NEVER and JOB represent a cross section of street art and contemporary thai visuals. strong on the theme of characters all the work explores the dark side of character and manga based influences.
tp07's zoo-morphicized everyday furniture sprouts fur and animalistic ferocity. AUD's ultra cutesy characters and dolls whip out knives and decapitate their owners. NEVER's frenzied scribbles horrify the unwary viewer and Job's serenely simplistic characters spout subversive anti-war and free love slogans.

P7 local thai graffiti legend will bring his wickedly ironic marker art to bear in a live performance on the opening night of the exhibition (7pm friday 19th jan). the iconoclastic image of a Wookie holding Mickey Mouse's head aloft on his spear typifies P7's work.
Christian Hogue lost in space's founding father has performed internationally at various media art festivals and with thai musicians Joni Anwar and Montoon Jira.
lost in space's creative network has created visuals for the Rolling stones, Robbie Williams and Bjork's live stage performances over the years as well commercials for well know brands such as Nike, Honda, Sony, films featured in festivals such as "one dot zero" and music videos for innovative bands like Autechre.
This exhibition is part of lost in space's drive to bring Asia's creative artists to the attention of asian and western audiences.

The exhibition was conceived and produced by Antika "Gift" teparak and partnered in crime by Nisakorn "Toony" Sihanatkathakul. Gift spear heads lost in space's thai operations producing work with local partners such as Kantana studios for western and japanese clients.
